A New Zealand taekwondo athlete who opened a brothel to fund his Olympic campaign is auctioning off the business, and
will use the proceeds to pay his way to overseas competitions. Logan Campbell, who finished in the top 16 in the
featherweight division at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, was condemned by the New Zealand Olympic Committee when he opened a
''high-class gentleman's club'' in Auckland to finance future competition.
The NZOC said such a business went against Olympic principles. Campbell said he was selling the business on an
auction website and hoped to raise $NZ300,000 ($240,000) towards the cost of his bid to represent New Zealand at the
2012 London Olympics.
Burton Snowboards is introducing a new line of snowboards featuring images of vintage Playboy models. Burton's 2009 Coalition line of snowboards features a model called the "Love" that uses vintage Playboy magazine photos as the main design element.
As you would expect, some parents aren't thrilled about having images of nude models attached to a sport that appeals to teenagers.
26 year old Paraguayan javelin thrower Leryn Franco already has two Olympic competitions under her lovely belt.
She’s also a former runner-up in the Miss Paraguay pageant as well as a runner-up in the Miss Bikini Universe pageant.
She was one of seven Paraguayan athletes that competed at the Beijing Olympics. Although her best mark in the javelin is
55.38 meters and she placed 42nd overall in the 2004 Summer Olympics, Leryn wins Gold for the hottest Olympian.
Sports stars have it made big time. They earn tons of money, they get paid to play a game, and
they score the hottest women in the world. These women even have their own category of hotness:
WAGs – which stands for wives and girlfriends. COED Magazine has scouted all the sports in the world and
created a list of the top 50 hottest WAGs of world sport. The list is impressive and includes Adriana Lima,
Gisele Bundchen (in picture), Brooklyn Decker, Hillary Duff and many more. It might be time to take up a sport!
